Highlight Reel

Highlight Reel is an easy and eye-catching navigation tool for the visitors to access specific points of the tour using slides instead of the map. The slides show the highlights of the space along with important information you want to add and navigate the visitors within one tour or re-direct them to another tour.

Functionality

To create the Highlight Reel on Treedis platform, pull the relevant toggle to the right:

If you already have the Highlight Reel created for another Treedis tour that you want to use again for current tour, you can click on three dots to select the "export / import" option:

You may also use the original Matterport Highlight Reel in your Treedis tour. To do so, make sure the settings are the following:

MP Highlight Reel toggle activates the Highlight Reel created in the Matterport.

MP Tour Play toggle enables the Matterport "Play tour" option if needed.

Reel Creation

If you want to organize your highlight reel slides into groups for a smoother user experience, you can start by clicking the button Add Group + to create a new group and enter a name for it.

You can create as many groups as needed to arrange the thumbnails under specific groups to simplify navigation and make it more convenient for users.

To create a new Highlight Reel, click Add Thumbnail+ to add a new slide.

Then fill in the boxes as shown below: (1) add a name, (2) assign the thumbnail to a group (optional), (3) choose an action type and (4) insert the URL if needed, and finally (5) set up a thumbnail image (either choose an existing image from the tour library or upload a new image from your device).

Action type is a specific action that can be assigned to the slide (Tour Link selected above means the slide will redirect to a particular location in the Treedis tour):

  • Matterport (fly-over) - a fly-over transition to the selected spot in the Matterport tour (deep link can be retrieved by clicking U inside the Matterport tour);

  • Matterport (instant) - redirects visitors instantly to a specific location within the Matterport tour, using a direct-entry effect;

  • Tour Link – redirects visitors to a specific location within the Treedis tour (deep link can be retrieved by clicking CTRL+Y inside the Treedis tour);

  • New Tab - opens the specified content (URL) in a new browser tab;

  • Panorama - displays a 360° image panorama within the tour. Ensure the Panorama feature is enabled in advance to select a 360 image.

  • iFrame - embeds the external website content directly within the tour. You can use the iFrame Tester to verify if your link can be i-framed.

  • Pop-up - shows content within the tour in a pop-up window. Similar to iFrame, but allows adding the links to the PDF or JPG files.

Eventually, this is the final look of Highlight Reel on the tour:

Thumbnails Position

If you want to change the position of the created thumbnail, you can click to drag and drop the thumbnail item to a new position within the same group.

If you want to remove the created thumbnail from the group, you can click on the needed item, delete it and save the changes.

Highlight Reel Parameters

You can set the highlight reel to either display briefly before collapsing or remain always visible on your tour. Open the tour's Manage section, scroll down to find PRO Matterport URL Addons, and set up the values for HL and TS accordingly:

HL 0 and TS 0 - to briefly show the highlight reel before hiding;
HL 1 and TS -1 - to keep the highlight reel always visible on the space.

You can also click on the 'info' icon next to each parameter to find detailed information about the highlight reel and other settings:
