Panorama

The Panorama feature enhances the tour experience by allowing you to set a 360° image as the starting point of the tour or make it accessible via a clickable icon within the tour, providing users with a memorable and immersive view.

Functionality

To enable a Panorama, pull the toggle to the right and click + Add Panorama:

While adding a Panorama, you can choose from the following options:

  • Set as Start View – Sets the panorama as the starting view for your space. If not selected as the starting point, the panorama can still be accessed by clicking the 360° icon in the bottom-left corner of the screen within the tour.

  • Animated Transition – Creates a fly-over effect between multiple panoramas added to the tour.

  • Show Compass – Displays a compass directly on the panorama view.

If you've already created a Panorama in another tour, you can import it by clicking the three dots and selecting Import:

You can also Export the panorama once it is uploaded to the space. Note: while the "Export Panorama with Settings" option is currently under development, we recommend using the "Export Panorama" option instead. It will export both the panorama and the list of hotspots created on it.

Adding a Panorama

You can upload a panoramic image directly from your computer, or choose one from the tour library:

Set as Default - to set the main panorama that will be displayed first when users enter the tour, if your tour includes multiple panoramas.

You can capture 360° photos using any app, as long as the image quality is sufficient. The maximum allowed dimensions for a panorama image are 10240 x 5760 pixels.

However, keep in mind that very high-resolution images may result in large file sizes, which may cause performance issues with the tour. For optimal performance, it is recommended to stay within 8K resolution (approx. 7680 x 4320 px).

When the 360° photos is uploaded and you want to make edits or delete panorama, simply click the pencil icon to access the settings:

    Start Point & Set North

When the Panorama is uploaded, decide on the following settings:

    • Set Start Point - сhoose a specific view angle of the 360° image to establish as the starting point when visitors enter the Panorama.
    • Set North - align the compass for the 360° image to orient visitors, indicating the direction they are viewing within the Panorama.

    • Here is how compass appears on Panorama view.

    Hotspots & Action Types

A Hotspot is an interactive marker that you can add to your panorama. It allows you to enhance your space by helping visitors orient themselves, highlighting nearby points of interest, promoting websites, playing audio, redirecting to other panoramas, and more.

To add a hotspot, navigate through the panorama in the workspace area to firstly locate the "+" icon where you want to place it (1). Then click the "+" button on your uploaded image to create the hotspot (2):

Now, enter a name for your hotspot, choose an icon from the integrated library or upload your own, and select hotspot color and action type:

Action type is a specific action that can be assigned to the panorama hotspot:

    • Matterport (Fly-Over) – redirects visitors to a Matterport tour with a fly-over transition effect. The deep link for location can be retrieved by pressing U inside the Matterport tour.
    • Matterport (Instant) – redirects visitors to a Matterport tour with a direct-entry effect. The deep link for location can be retrieved by pressing U inside the Matterport tour.
    • Tour Link – redirects visitors to a Treedis tour. The deep link for the location can be retrieved by pressing CTRL+Y inside the Treedis tour.
    • New Tab – opens a URL or webpage in a new browser tab.
    • Panorama - connects one panorama to another (ensure the panoramas are added for the tour beforehand).
    • I-Frame – embeds and displays external website content directly within the tour. Use an iFrame tester to verify if the link is compatible.
    • Music – plays music when the panorama hotspot is clicked.

    • Text – displays a pop-up with text when the hotspot is clicked.

    • Image – opens an image when the hotspot is clicked.

    • Video - starts a video embedded in the panorama (supports YouTube/Vimeo URL).

The hotspot with an action type will appear on the Panorama as follows:

Important: sometimes when clicking the hotspot you may see the following notification "Please wait for the tour to load", which requires you to click the hotspot again:

This is normal behavior. Panoramas are large files and can take some time to load, especially if the hotspots contain media content. If you stay on the panorama for a few moments, the hotspot should respond right away once the load is complete. If not, simply wait for the loading notification to disappear and then click the hotspot again.

Keep in mind that loading time may also depend on your device, browser, internet connection, or how recently the browser cache/cookies were cleared.
