Green Screen Video: How to Add It on 3D Scans

Green screen videos are used to place the filmed object or speaker into the tour without any background. This type of video can be added on 3D Scans using the combination of WEBM and MOV formats, 10 MB total for both files (20 MB for Business/Enterprise users).

When you add the green screen video on 3D Scans, it means that the video will show up in the tour only on the specific sweeps.

To start, choose the needed floor if there are few, click on '+ Group' (1) > add the name for sweep group (2) > select sweeps on the mini-map where you want the video to appear on your space (3):

Scroll down the mini-map and select the Green Screen action type. Please note that you need to add the video files both for desktop and mobile view, even if you are not going to use the mobile version of the tour:

ImportantTreedis does not support editing & removing backgrounds from video files. The green screen files must be fully edited when being uploaded to Treedis. We do not recommend using online converting websites for editing and converting. Please advise a professional video editor. The total size for WEBM and MOV files for each view is 10MB total (20MB for Business/Enterprise).

Once the videos are added, you may choose the side where you want the green screen video appear in the tour, manage the video size either in percentage or pixels and adjust brightness, saturation and contrast of the video:

  • Replay upon entry should be enabled, if you want the visitors to see the same video when they return to the specific 3D scans again in the tour.
  • If you have subtitles added (works with Music action type), the toggle Hide subtitles on mobile will hide the subtitles of the specific 3D scans group on mobile devices.

Eventually, the green screen video will look like this on the tour:
