Green Screen Video: How to Add It on 3D Scans

Green screen videos are used to place the filmed object or speaker into the tour without any background. This type of video can be added on 3D Scans using the combination of WEBM and MOV formats, 10 MB total for both files (20 MB for Business/Enterprise plan users).

When you add the green screen video on 3D Scans, it means that the video will show up in the tour only on the specific sweeps.

To start, choose the needed floor if there are few, click '+ Group' (1) > add a name for the sweep group (2) > select sweeps on the mini-map where you want the video to appear on your space (3):

Scroll down to the Action Types and select the 'Green Screen'

Please note that you need to add the video files both for desktop and mobile view, even if you are not going to use the mobile version of the tour:

Note: The total upload size limit for WEBM and MOV files is 10 MB for each view (20 MB for Business and Enterprise plans).

Important: Treedis does not support video editing or background removal for video files used in the 3D Scans feature. Green screen videos must be fully edited before being uploaded to the platform. We also do not recommend using online converting or editing websites, as they may affect video quality or compatibility. For the best results, we recommend working with a professional video editor.

Once the videos are uploaded, you can choose the side on which the green screen video will appear in the tour, and adjust the video size either in percentages or pixels.

Enable the toggle Replay upon entry (1) if you want visitors to see the same video again when returning to the specific 3D scan group in the tour.

If subtitles are added (supported with the Music action type), enabling the toggle Hide subtitles on mobile (2) will hide the subtitles for the selected 3D scan group on mobile devices.

Eventually, the green screen video will look like this on the public tour:
