Map

Map is a convenient and easy navigation tool. The tour visitors can use the mini-map to see the space from the bird's eye and navigate between the hotspots. The Treedis platform offers an option to upload your own mini-map as well.

Functionality

To enable a mini-map on your tour, pull the relevant toggle to the right:

  • Visible on Start - activate this toggle if you want the mini-map to open automatically upon entering the tour. The map will appear on the right side of the screen. Otherwise, the mini-map will be reachable by clicking the relevant icon.

  • Hide Hotspots - enable this toggle, if you wish to hide the hotspots on the mini-map:

A dark-blue circle with a white arrow shows the visitor's current location within the tour, helping them stay oriented as they navigate.

The left sidebar offers additional controls for the mini-map, allowing visitors to expand it, zoom in/out, and rotate the view if needed.

Custom Map

If you would like to upload a custom map to your tour, first select the desired floor (if your tour has multiple floors), then upload your map file in JPG or PNG format. Please note the specified limitations and ensure that the image dimensions do not exceed 512x628 pixels to allow the directional arrow to function properly on the map.

You can edit the map by adding hotspots, moving, and rotating it to align perfectly with your space. Drag mode is also available - if you would like to reposition a specific hotspot on the mini-map, simply drag it to the new location and click to save.

Important: After saving the new hotspot positions, remember to save the settings page as well.

Map Settings and Hotspots

Add Hotspot – use this to embed another tour or panorama within the mini-map.

Set North offers two functionalities:

  • To position the compass, allowing visitors to understand the directional angle they’re viewing on the map;
  • To align panoramas within the mini-map. When two panoramas are connected and both have Set North enabled, the transition between them will maintain the directional orientation. For instance, if a visitor is looking East in one panorama, they will continue facing East in the next panorama as they navigate.

Reset to Original Map – restore the mini-map to its original layout (if you’re unsatisfied with your uploaded mini-map, you can revert to the original).

To add a new hotspot, click 'Add Hotspot' and place it on the mini-map. While adding hotspots you should select its type: Position or Panorama.

  • Position – allows to embed another tour into your mini-map. When a visitor clicks on the designated hotspot on the mini-map, they will be redirected to the linked tour. To set it up, use the URL of the tour you want to connect.
Note: AutoCAD files are architectural plans that can be used to add a detailed measurement layout to the mini-map.
  • Panorama – allows to embed a panorama within the mini-map. If the tour includes a panorama, you can select it from the drop down list and assign it to any hotspot. When a visitor clicks on this hotspot, the linked panorama will be shown.
