Navigation Tool: FAQ

1. Can I modify the navigation path for tags only, without activating the entire Navigation Menu?

Yes, but you will still need to enable the Navigation add-on, as the path editor is only available through the Navigation Tool (can be activated via free credits on the Business plan).

If you only wish to adjust the path for navigation tags — without displaying the full Navigation Menu in the tour — you can enable the Navigation add-on and activate only the AR toggle. This allows you to use the navigation editor without affecting your live tour. Plus, after making the necessary path corrections, you can disable the add-on.

2. How can I make my locations (tags) appear as a dropdown list in the Navigation Menu without categories?

You should group all locations under the default “Other” category. When grouped this way, the tags will appear as a simple list in the Navigation Menu upon entry, without categories structure.

3. Every WEB navigation path starts from a default sweep number. Can I rename this sweep?

Yes, you can rename the default starting sweep to something more descriptive. Go to Navigation Tool > Path Editor > Sweeps tab > locate the sweep manually or using the search bar.

Then click the three dots and select Edit > enter the new name. The sweep name will now appear in the Navigation Menu instead of a numeric label.

4. Every WEB navigation path starts from a default sweep number. Can I change the default starting sweep to a different one?

Yes. Open the 3D Scans feature > navigate to the desired sweep in the workspace > while standing on it, click to set it as the starting point. A flag icon will appear next to the sweep number, indicating the change has been made.

5. How do I change the preview photo for my tags (locations)?

Go to Tag settings > open the Navigation tab > upload a thumbnail image. Then scroll down and toggle ‘Thumbnail’ on.

Once uploaded, the image will appear next to the tag in the Navigation Menu and also will serve as the preview before starting 3D navigation.

6. Will Matterport tags work in AR navigation? Or do I need to create Treedis tags?

Yes, Mattertags will also work in AR mode. To configure them, open the Tag settings in the Treedis workspace and click the ‘+’ icon to enable navigation for each tag.

Tip: MP tags will automatically be placed under the default “Other” category, which displays them as a simple list of locations in the Navigation Menu. To organize them into categories: go to Navigation Menu > click to add New Category > and move the tags to the new category accordingly.

7. I can't add and save a deep link in Kiosk mode. What am I doing wrong?

Ensure you are not trying to use deep links from Experience or V-Commerce tours. These add-ons are not compatible with the Navigation Tool. Only AR and Flows can work with Navigation.

8. The navigation screen is not fully visible on mobile. How can I open it in fullscreen?

On mobile devices, the navigation tool uses a drawer interface, which requires users to pull the slider upward. A standard swipe elsewhere on the screen will not trigger it. Please ensure you are pulling from the correct area.
