3D Scans (also known as sweeps) are circles that you see on the floor. They represent a location a visitor can walk to on the tour. You can tie these circles with a specific action (music, video, image etc.) For example, music will start playing when entering a room or a video will pop up when reaching a specific point on the tour.
Functionality
Starting Point and Sweep Group
Set as Starting Point allows you to choose a different sweep as a starting position for your tour. To set it up, just step on the needed sweep being in your workspace and click the button 'set as starting point' to save the new position.
To start using 3D scans, choose the needed floor (if there are several) and click on '+ Group' to create the sweep group:
Then add the name for a sweep group > select sweeps on the mini-map where you want to add some action:
The toggle Display group title will show the name of the sweep group at the bottom left corner once the tour visitor reaches the predefined sweep group.
How to Hide Scan Points
In order to restrict access to specific rooms or locations within your space, you can hide scanning points to prevent visitors from accessing closed areas. Simply select the needed sweep and click the 'eye' icon to close it. You can also use the search bar to quickly locate the sweeps you want to adjust.
Scan Colors
Colorful scan points serve as navigation to indicate whether sweeps are assigned to some action or not. When you select a sweep on the mini-map and click on it, this sweep will be colored according to the assigned group:
- pink indicates your current position on the mini-map;
- blue shows the scans selected for your current group;
- green indicates that these scans have already been assigned to some action type (action can be any one, music, video etc);
- red color means no action assigned to the sweeps yet.
If you need to select all 3D scans together, you should switch to the full-screen mode.
It will offer two additional options: to select or unselect all 3D scans.
Once you select all 3D scans, close the full-screen mode to return and set up the sweeps.
Action Types
You can assign different action types to specific groups of scans, ensuring that the corresponding action is triggered when a tour viewer steps into those scans. Below are the available action types:
New Tab - when a visitor reaches the preselected scan, the URL that you added to a sweep will automatically open in the new browser tab (outside the tour);
Panorama - the panorama will open on the selected sweep (you will be offered to select the panorama file from the list of available panoramas, which you should previously upload to the system on Panorama feature);
I-Frame - content of the URL that you added to a sweep will open in the iframe (inside the tour). Not all websites allow to use its links. Use a tester https://iframetester.com/ to check whether a needed link can be iframed or not.
Music - the music will start playing when a visitor reaches the specific scan;
Text - the text will pop up on specific spot;
Image - the picture will pop up on specific spot on the tour;
Lead - a 'Lead form' will appear on the tour, which helps you/your client collect data (email address, name and phone number) about the visitors who entered the tour and filled in the contact form;
Video - the video will pop up if visitor stands on specific sweep on the tour (Youtube or Vimeo link);
Green Screen - here you can add a virtual video guide like a full-size person speaking on your tour (requires .MOV and .WEBM formats, 10 MB total | 20 MB total for Business/Enterprise plan). Follow the link to find more details on how to set up the green screen video on sweeps.
IMPORTANT: It is recommended to avoid putting any action on the first (starting) sweep on your tour to ensure a smooth functionality of different action types.
Subtitles
If you have an audio description of the tour and want to add subtitles, you can enable the subtitles toggle (1) and then import a file with subtitles in .VTT or .SRT format, so they synchronize with the audio automatically (2).
Hide subtitles on mobile will hide subtitles of the specific 3D scans group on mobile devices.
Replay upon entry should be enabled, if you want a visitor to see the same action when he/she returns to the specific 3D scan again on the tour.
You can also add the subtitles manually, specifying the time for each phrase (3), and then whether you wish your subtitles to look fancy we offer the modification of the font type, size, color, etc (4).
Enhancements
Enhancement toggles can be used to customize the visibility of a specific scan/place on the tour - here you can adjust brightness, saturation and contrast. You can select sweeps for the whole space or just a specific location in the tour that you would like to edit.
Just click + to create a Group with sweeps:
Then select the sweeps on the mini-map where you would like to correct the colors:
If you want to select all sweeps on the floor without a need to click each sweep manually, you can go to full-screen mode (1) and find Select all sweeps button (2):
Click the Full-screen button again in order to return to Workspace.
You can now adjust the color correction by moving the slider left or right:
Note: You have the 'settings preview' directly from in the Workspace, which makes the color setting process more convenient without a need to enter the public link all the time to check the applied effect.
'Show' Section
This section allows you to decide what items (tags, polygons, media image/video, virtual staging 3d objects) you want to be visible on the space. You can show / hide the items either on some sweep(s) or on all scan points together.
If for example, you want the visitors to see only one tag on a specific location (and other tags to be hidden), so you can select the sweeps on the mini-map and show your tag on the needed sweeps only. To proceed with this functionality, you need to:
1. Click '+' to create a sweep group.
2. Select sweeps on the mini-map where you want to show the desired tag.
3. In the related section, click '+' to select the needed tag you want to show in a specific location.
When you select specific tag(s) to display on a preselected sweep, visitors will see only those chosen tag(s) at that location, while the remaining tags created in the tour will not be visible.
IMPORTANT: It is recommended to avoid putting any action on the first (starting) sweep on your tour to ensure a smooth functionality of different action types.
